Harp Media Short Film and Screenplay Competition

We’re delighted to be launching the Harp Media Short Film and Screenplay Competition, in association with the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. The aim of the initiative is to promote filmmaking and creativity amongst secondary school students in Longford, Westmeath and Cavan. The competition will have two categories: Best Short Film Screenplay (Maximum 12 pages) and Best Short Film (Maximum 12 minutes). There is a prize of €250 for each category as well as some filmmaking equipment.

To launch the competition, we will be visiting a number of schools throughout the participating counties. If you are a secondary school teacher or student in one of these counties and would like us to visit your school, please do get in touch.

We will also be hosting training sessions in early 2019 that will look at screenwriting, film production and the current Irish film landscape. If you would like to attend one of these sessions, please register your interest by emailing [email protected].
